The product category analysis is a type of characterization aimed at assessing the quality level of a given stream of glass cullet by determining the weight abundance of any unwanted fractions within it, such as too fine glassy material, ceramics, metals, plastic, lead crystal glass, etc.
The methodology adopted by SSV is based on evaluations to be carried out directly on-site, and can be applied both to raw cullet entering a treatment plant and on furnace-ready cullet, eventually with the possibility of adapting it according to the specific needs of the site or to the material characteristics.
Depending on the obtained results, it is possible to verify the compliance of the analyzed cullet to the agreed supply specifications or quality specifications.
