General Regulation on the protection of personal data

With the present information notice Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro Società Consortile per Azioni intends to provide users who visit the website www.spevetro.it with a brief description of the methods and the purposes concerning the processing of personal data used by our company Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro Società Consortile per Azioni. The processing will be in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter, the “Regulation”).

The Regulation provides that “Personal data” shall mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter, “Data Subject”). “Processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

In accordance with Articles 12 et seq. of the Regulation, we provide you with the following information on the processing of personal data.

 

1. DATA CONTROLLER

The Data Controller is Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro Società Consortile per Azioni, with registered office at 30141 – Venice – Murano, via Briati, 10, Tax Code and VAT number 04176390278 (hereinafter also “Data Controller”).

2. PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

No registration is required to access the website www.spevetro.it, except in the areas where the user can freely and expressly provide certain data concerning him (e.g. to request to be contacted or to make a spontaneous application in the “Work with us” area).

The processing of personal data is performed for purposes strictly connected and instrumental to the use of the website and its services, as well as for the fulfillment of obligations under laws, regulations, Community legislation or the Authority. If the data subject directly provides their personal data (name and e-mail address) to be contacted, these will be processed for the purpose of processing the communications dispatch, in order to respond to the requests and for the purposes related to them.

The processing of personal data may take place without needing any consent, in accordance with the provisions of Art. 6, paragraph 1, letter. b) and c) of the Regulation.

The provision of personal data is optional. In certain cases (e.g. request for contacts or spontaneous application) the failure to provide the data may make access to specific services impossible.

3. MODALITIES OF THE PROCESSING

The processing of personal data provided through the website is carried out on an electronic medium, with the logic of organization and processing strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in a way that guarantees  data’s security, integrity and confidentiality. Specific security measures have been adopted to minimize the risks of data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

4. PERIOD OF DATA RETENTION

Personal data will be kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and processed. Personal data collected through the “Contacts” section of the website will be processed for the time necessary to properly manage the request of the Data Subject and subsequently deleted. The data provided spontaneously by the Data Subject through the section “Work with us” will be kept for 12 months and then deleted. It is understood that, once the purposes of the processing would be exhausted, the Data Controller will be obliged and/or entitled in any case to keep personal data for the periods prescribed by law in order to possibly assert or defend a right in court.

5. COMMUNICATION OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data will not be disclosed. However, within the scope of the purposes here above, personal data will be accessible (limited to their respective areas of competence) to those in charge of processing the Owner, as well as to third parties (eg. external consultants, service providers), in fulfilment of the purposes referred to in paragraph 2 of this document.

6. PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING AND TRANSFER ABROAD

The processing operations connected to the web services of this site take place at the registered office of the Data Controller, at 30141 – Venice – Murano, via Briati, 10.

Personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the European Union.

7. COOKIE

8. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

At any time, the Data Subject may exercise the rights referred to in Articles from 15 to 22 of the Regulations, including, in short, obtain from the Controller confirmation that it is or is not undergoing processing of personal data concerning him and, in this case, obtain access to the data and know its origin, the purposes and methods of processing, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data may be communicated and the retention period; exercise the right to obtain from the Data Controller the correction, updating or integration of data; the right to cancel or transform data into an anonymous form or limit the processing of personal data concerning him; the right to be informed of any corrections or cancellations or limitations on the processing carried out in relation to your personal data; the right to object, at any time, to the processing of data; the right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used and automatically readable form.

The applicable legislation grants the Data Subject the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or in any case to a competent supervisory authority, where the conditions are met.
