Impartiality

Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro has adopted a code of ethics that defines, among others, the principles and behavior that every employee must adopt to ensure impartiality and independence of judgment. Every year, a “Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency” is prepared and approved by the Board of Directors, which includes impartiality of judgment among possible corruption risks.

Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro has also established that employees may not perform individual consulting activities, except in cases where this is requested by a Court of the Republic as a CTU.

In the case of inspection activities performed according to specific protocols, SSV undertakes to avoid overlap between consulting and inspection activities.

Each employee undertakes to maintain impartiality, independence and professional integrity by signing a statement to this effect in their personnel file and following the procedures set forth in the quality manual and code of ethics

To ensure compliance with impartiality, the laboratory implements a system for ongoing risk management in relation to the corporate structure. In case a risk is identified, appropriate corrective actions for its mitigation are expected to be taken. The manner in which the risk assessment is carried out can be found in management procedure PG24 “Management of risks to which the company is exposed.”
