Pharmaceutics

Thanks to its high chemical inertness, glass is considered one of the best materials for the long term preservation of pharmaceutical products and preparations: even when the drugs are in the liquid state (the most severe), soda-lime glass, and, even better, borosilicate glass, can keep the molecules of the active ingredients unaltered, avoiding the risk of inactivation or contamination.

SSV is capable of assisting the pharmaceutical sector companies in their analytical and research and development needs related to glass containers, offering a complete range of services of consultancy, characterization and chemical and mechanical compliance tests, carried out in accordance with the reference standards and following, where required, the provisions of Good Manufactoring Practices (GMP).
