Thanks to its three mobile laboratories, equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for chemical-environmental samplings and measurements, SSV is capable of supporting the glass industry with reliabilty and competence in the characterization of gaseous emissions conveyed into the atmosphere (e.g. dust, NOx, SOx, CO, O2, CO2, HCl, HF, NH3, organics), and in the monitoring of workplace environment hazards.
SSV’s specialized technicians can offer on-site support to glass manufacturing companies in operations such as: measurement of emissions upstream and downstream the off-gases treatment plant; evaluation of pollutants abatement yields or of sulphates mass balance; fine tuning of SOx abatement system parameters; calibration of continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS); optimization of combustion parameters for energy efficient primary NOx emissions reduction, etc.
