The location of SSV on the island of Murano has favoured, since its establishment, close relations with companies in the artistic sector, allowing over time a mutual growth in competence in the development of types of glass that for complexity, color variety and quality has no equal in the world.
In more recent years, Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro has dedicated itself to the research of innovative technical solutions for the reduction of the environmental impact of artistic glass production, in order to preserve the heritage of Murano Glass manufacturing within the delicate ecosystem of the Venice Lagoon.
